deep condition weekly, and shampoo only twice a week or less depending on how oily your scalp is. Frequent yet short trims are a most to maintain frizz free long beautiful hair. Also after you shampoo your hair and use the conditioner that rinses out that when you should detangle with a wide tooth comb. Leave a lil conditioner in because curly hair is very porous and can dry out easily. Never comb hair when is it dry and don't brush it unless you are smoothing it down for a ponytail or blow drying it straight. Don't use silicone based products and here is a website of my fave. curly hair along with another godsend product that I love.

Also never towel dry hair roughly just pat it down.
